Apple iPhone 4 and Samsung Galaxy S were some of the choices before I decided on HTC Desire. Undeniably, the price of Apple iPhone 4 has put me off while a £400 Samsung Galaxy S without a camera flash has made HTC Desire the clear winner.
Well, it has been almost a week since my last post and I have since flashed the Android 2.2 Froyo ROM; replacing the Éclair as I could not wait for 3 to release its own branded Froyo ROM.
After rooted and flashed custom ROM
I must say I am pretty satisfied with it even though I have not noticed a major change in the ROM. The much awaited feature is the A2SD (Application to SD Card) where it allows applications and games to be installed onto SD Card. However, developers have to incorporate the functionality into their existing applications and games which will then give the option to install to SD Card during installation process. As I have flashed a custom ROM based on the official HTC Froyo ROM, I did the hard way by formatting and partitioning my SD card in order to utilise the A2SD+. The ‘+’ means that Cache2SD is included. Cache2SD redirects the browsers cache files to the SD card. I can still use the Froyo A2SD by removing my SD card’s partition. For the time being, I will leave it as it is.
Price
At £12.99, I think it is a value mouse. At that price, I could have easily got a Microsoft mouse but as I am already using Microsoft mouse at work, I thought that I should give Logitech mouse a go. On the other hand, most Microsoft mouse is optical technology while Logitech LS1 is a laser mouse. Well, I actually paid £2.99 for it as I have a £10 Amazon voucher.
First Impression
As usual, I checked through every review that I could find on the internet and there have been mixed reviews. Some comments said that the mouse is bigger than expected. However, the description of the mouse did not state whether or not it is a notebook mouse. The package arrived sooner than I was expecting which was about three days. First impression, it looked great but it is smaller than I expected. It is very light but maybe because I am using a wireless mouse for my desktop computer. In comparison, wireless mouse is heavier than wired mouse. I am determined not to get a wireless mouse this time because of the hassle of buying batteries every now and then.
